Hydrodynamic Performance of a Newly-Designed Pelagic and Demersal Trawls Using Physical Modeling and Analytical Methods for Cameroonian Industrial Fisheries

This study proposed the newly-designed Pelagic and demersal trawls for fishing vessels operating in Cameroonian waters pelagic grounds. The engineering performances of both were investigated using physical modelling method analytical based on predicted equations. In a flume tank, series model tests Tauti’s law performed to investigate hydrodynamic geometrical assess applicability methods results showed that scale, working towing speed door spread trawl 3.5 knots 1.85 m, respectively, bottom net they 4.0 1.8 m.
